Melissa "Missy" Zinteck was born in Syracuse, New York on September 6, 1981. She graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School in 1999. She attended Gannon University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2003. She furthered her education at LECOM School of Pharmacy obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2006. She is currently employed as a Staff Pharmacist at Wegmans Pharmacy in Erie, PA. Ranko "Ron" Barac was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina on April 21, 1980. He moved with his family to Erie, Pennsylvania in 1996 where he has lived since. He graduated from Cathedral Prepatory High School in 1999. He attended Gannon University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2003. He continued his education at LECOM School of Medicine earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2007. He is currently a physician at Millcreek Community Hospital completing his residency in Internal Medicine. He is also working on a Masters in Medical Education degree. Melissa and Ranko met at the end of their junior year of college after being introduced to each other by mutual friends. They dated through their senior year at Gannon and into their continued education at LECOM. Their relationship grew while they provided support and motivation for each other as they progressed through their demanding educational pathways. After becoming engaged, they purchased their first home in November of 2006. In May of 2007 they expanded their household by addition of a Bullmastiff puppy, Charlie. Together, they enjoy walking their dog, biking, jet-skiing, watching movies, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
